Banks move to allay loan fears

The Australian Bankers’ Association is trying to douse speculation the banks are already preparing to foreclose loans to clients who may be affected by the Authority’s proposed water cuts. The heated debate over the plan has many farmers worried their properties might become unviable if the cuts go ahead. But Steven Munchenberg says the banks will deal with clients on a case-by-case basis.
