Orlando, FL, United States (AHN Entertainment) – If you’re not too busy checking out The Wizarding World of Harry Potter (and if you haven’t, you should be), Universal Orlando is giving ticket holders a reason to head to its Universal Studios park, too: the Florida theme park’s annual Summer Concert Series.
This year’s Summer Concert Series kicks off on Saturday, June 11th with The Go-Go’s, who are celebrating the 30th anniversary of their debut album “Beauty and the Beat” this year. On June 18th is Nelly, who earned his 13th top 10 hit recently with “Just a Dream.”
June 25th sees multi-platinum rockers Third Eye Blind, working on their fifth studio album for release this year, hitting the Music Plaza stage. On July 2nd, it’s “Bottoms Up” with R&B heartthrob Trey Songz, who released the #1 R&B album “Passion, Pain & Pleasure” and starred on BET’s “My Moment.”
On July 9th, “The Great Escape” singers Boys Like Girls will perform. They’re also set to release their first new material since 2009′s “Love Drunk” this summer. Drake, who sold out his own tour on the success of his platinum debut “Thank Me Later,” will perform on July 16th.
The performances will take place at 9pm on each Saturday. The concerts are included free with a ticket to Universal Studios or an annual pass.
