Miami Beach, FL, United States (CNS) – It was a start-studded New Year’s Eve on and off the red carpet at the Fountainbleau Resort in Miami Beach.
The hotel retained it’s local reputation as the hottest nightclub destination in South Beach with three stylistically separate events to ring in 2011; a poolside musical experience with Dutch superstar DJ Tiesto; a private concert with Academy Award-winning singer Jamie Foxx and Kaskade at LIV nightclub; and a classic clubbing experience with British DJ Fatboy Slim at Arkadia nightclub.
Foxx just returned to the music scene with his new album; “Best Night of My Life” which debuted at #6 on the charts. It’s his fourth album and third straight December release, moving 144,000 copies in its first week. Foxx, brought his magic to LIV and did not disappoint.
At $375 per person for general admission tickets to the Tiesto poolside party, the Fountainbleau officially offered the most expensive way to say goodbye to 2010 in Miami. But after Arkadia and LIV quickly sold out, the price to see Tiesto soared to over $500 per person before those tickets also sold out shortly before 10:00pm.
VIP Tables and bottle service for the events easily climbed to over $25,000. But the price let partygoers rub elbows with some of the hottest celebrities, fresh from Hollywood.
Actor Michael Chiklis rang in the new year in true South Beach style. We spotted the “No Ordinary Family” star has he strolled through Fontainebleau lobby before partying it up in LIV. Chiklis met up with TV personality Maria Menounos, who turned heads with her black sequined fitted dress.
Other celebrities like ‘Desperate Housewives’ star Shawn Pyfrom showed up looking sharp and ready to party. Meanwhile, actor Colton Haynes and Fatboy Slim were spotted mingling with some of Miami’s best dressed women.
‘Gossip Girl’ hotthrob Chase Crawford, who was never short for attention in his white shirt and black suit ensemble, was seen chatting it up with Matthew Morrison who plays America’s favorite teacher on ‘Glee.’ Chance was extra happy, after receiving his New Year’s Eve present early when the he “Glee: The Christmas Album” moves up two spots to hit #3 on the final Billboard chart for 2010.
